
Italian Stromboli
A crispy, golden-brown crust filled with layers of savory meats, gooey cheese, and zesty marinara sauce—this Italian Stromboli is the ultimate comfort food! Perfect for a family dinner or a party appetizer.
Ingredients:
1 lb pizza dough
½ cup marinara sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup provolone cheese, sliced
¼ lb sliced pepperoni
¼ lb sliced salami
¼ lb sliced ham
1 tsp dried oregano
½ tsp garlic powder
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven:
Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Assemble the Stromboli:
On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce, leaving about 1 inch of space around the edges. Layer the mozzarella, provolone, pepperoni, salami, and ham evenly over the dough. Sprinkle with oregano and garlic powder.
Roll and Seal:
Carefully roll the dough into a log, tucking in the sides as you go to seal in the fillings. Place the Stromboli seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
Brush and Bake:
Brush the top with the beaten egg and drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle grated Parmesan on top. Using a sharp knife, cut a few small slits on the surface to allow steam to escape. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
