
Garlic Parmesan Pizza Grilled Cheese
Ingredients
Garlic Parmesan Butter:
¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
4 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp salt
Sandwiches:
8 slices sturdy bread (sourdough or Italian)
1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup pizza or marinara sauce
24 thin slices pepperoni
Instructions
Preheat Skillet:
Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-low heat.
Make Garlic Parmesan Butter:
In a small bowl, mix butter, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt until well combined.
Assemble Sandwiches:
Spread half the butter mixture on one side of 4 bread slices. Place them buttered side down in the skillet.
Spread 1 tbsp pizza sauce on each slice in the skillet.
Add ¼ cup mozzarella, 6 pepperoni slices, then another layer of mozzarella.
Spread pizza sauce on one side of the remaining 4 bread slices; place sauce side down on top of the cheese.
Spread the remaining butter mixture on the top bread slices.
Cook:
Grill sandwiches for 3–4 minutes per side, until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.
Serve:
Let cool slightly, cut in half, and serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
Tip: Swap pepperoni for cooked sausage, sautéed mushrooms, or roasted veggies for a custom twist.
Yield: 4 sandwiches
