
Crockpot Philly Cheesesteak Potato Casserole
A hearty, cheesy, and comforting twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak! This slow-cooked casserole combines tender beef, melted cheese, and seasoned potatoes for an easy, satisfying meal the whole family will love.
Ingredients:
1 ½ lbs thinly sliced beef steak (ribeye or sirloin)
4 large russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 onion, sliced
2 cups shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
1 cup beef broth
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions:
Sauté the Beef & Vegetables:
In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and cook the sliced beef until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside. In the same pan, sauté the onions and bell peppers until softened.
Layer the Casserole:
Grease the inside of a crockpot. Layer half of the sliced potatoes at the bottom. Add half of the cooked beef, sautéed veggies, shredded cheese, and seasonings. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
Add Broth & Cook:
Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce evenly over the layers. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until the potatoes are tender.
Melt the Cheese & Serve:
In the last 15 minutes of cooking, sprinkle the remaining cheese on top, cover, and let it melt. Serve warm and enjoy this cheesy, beefy comfort dish!
