Ingredients
For the Bars:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 ½ cups granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ cup whole milk
Cinnamon Swirl:
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 tbsp ground cinnamon
Cream Cheese Glaze:
4 oz cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2–3 tbsp milk
Instructions
Preheat Oven & Prep Pan:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
Make the Bar Batter:
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Add dry ingredients to the butter mixture alternately with milk, mixing just until combined.
Prepare Cinnamon Swirl:
In a small bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until smooth.
Layer the Bars:
Spread half the bar batter evenly into the prepared pan. Drizzle half the cinnamon swirl over the top and swirl with a knife. Repeat with remaining batter and cinnamon swirl.
Bake:
Bake for 28–32 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely before glazing.
Make the Glaze:
Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Mix in powdered sugar and vanilla, then add milk a little at a time until desired drizzling consistency is reached.
Finish & Serve:
Drizzle glaze over cooled bars, slice into squares, and enjoy.
Tip: For extra indulgence, sprinkle chopped pecans over the glaze while it’s still wet for a nutty crunch.
