
Cabbage & Ground Beef Bake 🥬🍲
A hearty and comforting dish packed with savory ground beef, tender cabbage, and a flavorful tomato sauce. This easy, oven-baked meal is perfect for a cozy family dinner!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small head of cabbage, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
- 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat and Prepare:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set aside.
Cook the Beef:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened. Drain any excess grease.
Add Seasonings & Tomatoes:
Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
Assemble the Bake:
Spread half of the chopped cabbage in the baking dish. Pour half of the beef mixture over it, then repeat with the remaining cabbage and beef. Cover with foil.
Bake:
Bake for 45 minutes, until the cabbage is tender. If using cheese, remove foil in the last 10 minutes, sprinkle with cheddar, and bake until melted and bubbly.
