2 cups granulated sugar
4 eggs
2½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 cup whole milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1½ cups chopped pecans, toasted
For the Frosting:
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
4 cups powdered sugar
½ cup heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:
Prepare the Pecans:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the chopped pecans on a baking sheet and toast for 5-7 minutes until fragrant. Set aside to cool.
Make the Cake Batter:
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk. Stir in the vanilla extract and toasted pecans.
Bake the Cake:
Divide the batter evenly between two greased 9-inch round cake pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the cakes cool completely before frosting.
Prepare the Frosting:
In a bowl, beat the butter until creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and heavy cream, mixing until smooth and fluffy. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Assemble the Cake:
