⏱️ Prep Time: 15 minutes | Cook Time: 25 minutes
🍽️ Servings: 12 sliders
Ingredients:
For the Sliders:
12 Hawaiian sweet rolls (or slider buns)
8 slices ham
8 slices salami
8 slices pepperoni
8 slices provolone cheese (or mozzarella)
½ cup banana peppers (drained, optional but highly recommended)
½ small red onion, thinly sliced
½ cup sliced black olives (optional)
½ cup roasted red peppers, sliced (optional)
For the Garlic Butter Topping:
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon parsley flakes
For Serving:
Marinara sauce or Italian dressing for dipping
Instructions:
- Prep the rolls:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Without separating the rolls, slice the entire slab of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally to create a top and bottom layer. Place the bottom half into a lightly greased 9×13-inch baking dish. - Layer the meats & cheese:
Evenly layer ham, salami, pepperoni, and provolone cheese over the bottom half of the rolls. Scatter banana peppers, onions, olives, and roasted red peppers (if using) for that authentic Italian sub flavor. - Top it off:
Place the top half of the rolls back on. - Make the garlic butter topping:
In a small bowl, mix melted butter, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, Parmesan, and parsley. Brush generously over the tops of the rolls. - Bake to perfection:
Cover the sliders loosely with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 8–10 minutes, until cheese is melted and rolls are golden brown. - Slice & serve:
Use a sharp knife to cut the rolls into individual sliders. Serve warm with marinara sauce or Italian dressing for dipping.
Tips & Variations:
✅ Use turkey or roast beef instead of ham for a fun twist.
✅ Swap provolone for mozzarella, cheddar, or pepper jack.
✅ Add fresh basil or spinach for extra freshness.
✅ Make ahead of time, refrigerate, then bake when ready to serve.
